I am a licensed financial adviser based in Malaysia. As Practice Manager at YES Financial Berhad, I advise clients directly and also lead and supervise a team of financial advisers, with a focus on advice quality, suitability and compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia and Securities Commission Malaysia requirements. Through our associate company YES Trustees Berhad, I help clients plan wills and private trusts.
My work centres on three questions families keep asking: how to invest beyond Malaysia sensibly, how to keep assets in several countries organised, and how to make sure everything reaches the right people at the right time.
Alongside practice, I am a PhD researcher at Universiti Malaya, Faculty of Business and Economics, researching ESG (environmental, social and governance) practices in corporate governance for Malaysian SMEs. I also speak on financial literacy and compliance, and I am an HRDC accredited trainer.
